Pepe Reina: Liverpool goalkeeper looks foward to improvement at Anfield
Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina believes Brendan Rodgers will need time to implement his trademark passing style at Anfield.
Rodgers led Swansea to an 11th-placed finish in their maiden season in the Premier League last term.
Yet it was their swashbuckling brand of football that earned them the most plaudits from fans and pundits alike.
Rodgers has since been appointed as Kenny Dalglish's successor at Liverpool and Reina, who is currently at Euro 2012 with Spain, is looking forward to playing under his new manager.
Optimistic
"I'm looking forward to going back to Liverpool," he told the club's official website.
"I am very optimistic about the future. It is a good appointment and, hopefully, Liverpool can have a better season than they did last time.
"I watched quite a bit of Swansea last season and I always like my teams to play like that.
"It is my style and one that will be very good for Liverpool but he is going to need time to implement his ideas. It is not going to happen in the blink of an eye."
