Liverpool must be willing to cash in on striker Luis Suarez's value if a big European club is willing to overpay for his goal-scoring talents.

According to the Mirror, Italian champions Juventus are interested in the Uruguayan star.

Suarez has been targeted by Italian champions Juventus and their rivals AC Milan– and has admitted that he would like to experience life in Italy or Spain – while player-of-the-season Skrtel is wanted by Fiorentina.

Juventus are ready to offer the 25-year-old an escape to Serie A and are willing to pay up to £30m as they look to make an assault on the Champions League.

Liverpool struggled to score goals at many times this past season. Only West Bromwich Albion scored fewer goals than the Reds among clubs who finished in the top 10 of the league table.

With that said, allowing a player like Suarez to leave the club seems like a bad idea. However, unless the club's owners bring in another world-class goal scorer, the team's attack won't improve to the level it needs to be at for Champions League qualification.

The Reds would be wise to sell Suarez for a major price and use the funds to inject more attacking quality into the squad by signing multiple forwards with goal-scoring talent.

Liverpool has the defensive quality needed to finish in the top four of the table, but you cannot expect to win matches consistently when scoring more than two goals in a game is often times a challenge.

Suarez is loved by the fans and is a top player, but the best decision moving forward for the club is to sell him to a desperate team looking for goal scoring.

By getting anywhere from £30-40 million for Suarez, Liverpool could strengthen the quality of the team in the summer transfer window and maybe make a run for a top-four spot next season.

Losing Suarez would be difficult for the fans, but it's a move that is best for the club's improvement going forward.
