Liverpool could be forced to find a new goalkeeper. Hugo Lloris is apparently high on the squads wish list, and it needs to do anything it can to make sure he is minding the net for the Reds.

According to the UK Mirror, Lloris is the man Liverpool has targeted right now, though it remains to be seen if he is open to moving from Olympique Lyonnais.

Liverpool are keen on French goalkeeper Hugo Lloris as rumours persist AC Milan are plotting a swoop for Pepe Reina.

The 25-year-old France international is thought to be settled at Lyon, although chairman Jean-Michel Aaulas said before Euro 2012 that the keeper had told him he could be tempted by an offer from a "great European club".

Reina has been a fixture with Liverpool since 2005. He has spent his prime years making a name for himself with the Reds.

If Milan can pry Reina away, Lloris would be the perfect replacement. Lloris is just 25 years old right now, four years younger than Reina, and is entering the prime of his career.

To convince Lloris that Liverpool is the right spot for him, the Reds will have to empty their pocketbooks. Need and want are two dangerous things that can get squads in trouble, as they are likely to overpay for someone they shouldn't. In the case of Liverpool, Lloris would be the investment they need to make.

The Reds do need help on the offensive side of the ball, but if you can prevent squads from scoring then you don't need as much offense. Liverpool would be the ideal landing spot for Lloris, and the squad has the need to make it happen.

All that remains to be seen is if Liverpool and/or Lloris will pull the trigger.
