EXCLUSIVE: Fowler on the Merseyside derby at Anfield

Liverpool host Everton at Anfield on Tuesday night with both clubs gunning for Merseyside bragging rights and vital points in the chase of European football next season.
Sportsmail caught up with Kop legend Robbie Fowler to cast his eye over the two teams and analyse three key clashes which could decide the match.
Plenty to ponder: Liverpool's recent league record has been well below-par
THREE KEY CLASHES...
GERRARD v FELLAINI
Fellaini stands out from the crowd thanks to his afro but there is so much more to him than that fantastic hairstyle.
When he plays well, Everton play well. Although eyebrows were raised at the £13million David Moyes spent to sign him in 2008, his performances since have shown that to be shrewd judgement.
Knowing Steven as I do, however, he won't be worried about the threat of Fellaini. All he will be thinking about is his own game and how he can drive Liverpool on.
He is a fantastic player and his input will go a long way to determining the result.
SUAREZ v HEITINGA
Suarez can sometimes come across stroppy but that is down to him being a perfectionist.
He has been Liverpool's most exciting player in the last 12 months by some way.
He is a fantastic talent and if he can get on the ball regularly it could become a long night for Everton.
But Heitinga's consistency in recent months has not gone unnoticed.
Not so long ago he had a reputation for making silly mistakes but his talent can't be disputed.
He will not be flustered.
CARRAGHER v JELAVIC
Carra has been a phenomenal player. I've heard people saying he is not as quick as he once was but that doesn't make a difference.
He has always had the ability to think two steps ahead of the attackers he plays against, and he reads the game so well. He loves derby matches and aside from wanting to win the game, he'll be desperate to win his own personal duel.
Jelavic has made a good start to his Everton career and I was impressed with how he took his goal against Tottenham.
This test, though, will be completely different.
Hair raising: Fellaini will have his work cut out against Gerrard
Red alert: Suarez is a key man for Liverpool
True Blue: Jelavic has made strong start to life on Merseyside
In the Nik of time: Jelavic scored the winner for Everton last time out
