Liverpool are plotting to sign Anderlecht forward Matias Suarez and pair him with namesake Luis in an all-South American strike force.
The Argentine marksman is rated at £20million and has been watched by technical director Damien Comolli.
Arsenal, along with the two Manchester clubs, are also keen to bring Suarez to England.
In demand: Matias Suarez is a target for several Premier League clubs
Anderlecht manager Herman van Holsbeeck revealed his striker is a man in demand.
He said: There are 15 top clubs prepared to pay the money we want for Suarez and the fee could be higher than the money we received from Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku last year. Matias could have gone to Russia in the winter and also Juventus, but his wife Magali did not want to go.
'Do I think Suarez is worth more than Lukaku? Well, technically he is a better player.'
Lukaku moved to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth up to £18m and Suarez has already signed himself up with FirstEleven, the agency that represents Yaya Toure of Manchester City and Manchester United's Rafael.

Earlier this month, Suarez's agent Jorge Cyterzpiler said: 'The player has attracted interest from clubs in England and Italy.
'Liverpool have been spoken about but both Manchester clubs are also watching him. Juventus also have a chance to sign him.
'In April I will be in Italy to discuss his future. In the summer he will certainly move on but Anderlecht won't let him go for cheap.'
According to the Sunday Mirror, Liverpool owner John Henry will undertake a comprehensive review of what has been a mixed season for the Reds.
Under pressure: Kenny Dalglish watched his side lose to Wigan
And manager Kenny Dalglish's position will be under scrutiny with the Scot splashing out £115m in just 15 months.
He has already won the Carling Cup and earned a place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup but Liverpool are struggling for a top-six Premier League finish.
Liverpool's season took another turn for the worse on Saturday when they lost 2-1 at home to Wigan.
