Liverpool have had some ups and downs throughout the season, but just how good or bad have they been?

We all know the Reds have a lot of problems scoring goals, especially in the Premier League. Currently, Liverpool's best goal scorer is the notorious Luis Suarez who scored 10 times since the start of the season.

But the Reds found the back of the net only 30 times in 27 games in the league! Just to put it into prospective, Cristiano Ronaldo scored 32 goals in 26 league games. And only four teams in the Premier League scored fewer goals than the Reds. Needless to say, all of them are under Liverpool in the league standings.

The record for the fewest league goals scored in a season stands at 42 before the creation of Premier League, and 51 in the 1999/2000 season of the Premier League. Liverpool will probably surpass the 42-goal mark but if they are to score more than 50 goals, they will have to change something in their approach to games.

Luckily, the Reds have only three tough teams (Everton, Newcastle United and Chelsea) to play until the end of the season. But knowing how the Reds fare against so-called smaller teams, the schedule is perhaps not as good as it sounds.

The chances of Liverpool finishing in the top four suffered yet another blow on Saturday. And if Liverpool are to push for the top four finish, they will have to start scoring goals soon.

Will Liverpool break this dreadful record?

And if they do, should King Kenny be removed from the managerial seat?
